Rookie of the Month December 2014

The NHL named their Rookie of the Month for December, as the third Rookie of the Month award for 2014 took notice of a guy in Calgary that is turning heads.

Johnny Gaudreau -- Calgary Flames

A hat trick in December, a flash of leadership and some solid stats made Johnny Gaudreau a TV sports cast staple through the month.  His scoring punch through the first three months of the season, finds him second among rookies with 12 goals 18 assists for 30 points thus far.

Evidence enough for the selection committee to name him Rookie of the month for December.
