Game Three-- Canucks and Kings, April 15, 2012

The anticipated front runners find themselves in a pivotal moment already, but two games into the quest for the Stanley Cup, that after the Vancouver Canucks dropped two home games to the Los Angeles Kings and suddenly find themselves in a 2-0 hole to the eighth place Kings.

Los Angeles, which has run mainly on the remarkable skills of Jonathan Quick in their nets, have found some timely scoring when it was required the most, knocking the Canucks off their game and taking advantage of the power play opportunities when the Canucks get a case of the stupids.  Something that unfortunately for Canucks fans took place quite frequently in games one and two.

The scene shifts to California for games three and four, must games for Vancouver who may be seeing all their playoff plans wafting high into a Santa Ana win by Tuesday.

A team that came one game short of winning a Stanley Cup going up against a team that was a game or two out of not even making the playoffs, that's the thumbnail preview of the opening game of the Kings and Canucks series.
