The best news of the week thus far is the prognosis out of Montreal General Hospital that the much beloved gentleman of hockey Jean Beliveau is making encouraging progress after he suffered a stroke earlier this week.
Mr. Beliveau's wife Elise outlined yesterday how her husband is speaking, laughing and regained some of his strength, though he is still under observation by specialists at the hospital.
Mr. Beliveau has long been considered the class of the NHL, a man who many of today's players stars and workmen alike could learn much from when it comes to personal deportment both on and off the ice.
Hockey fans everywhere will be relieved to hear of these reports and surely wish a speedy and full recovery to one of the most revered of Canadian hockey icons.
