NHL sets the dates for Stanley Cup finals

They still need one more dance partner, but the NHL is going ahead with the arrangements for the big dance for Lord Stanley's mug.

While the Ottawa Senators practice their two steps, waltzes and hip hop moves, they can also make sure that the arrangements are in place for their home games in the Stanley Cup final.

The dates for the best of seven series are:

Game One: Monday, May 28 at either Detroit or Anaheim

Game Two: Wednesday, May 30 at either Detroit or Anaheim

Game Three: Saturday, June 2 at Ottawa

Game Four: Monday, June 4 at Ottawa

Game Five: Wednesday, June 6 at either Detroit or Anaheim (if necessary)

Game Six: Saturday, June 9 at Ottawa (if necessary)

Game Seven: Monday, June 11 at Detroit or Anaheim (if necessary)

All games of course will be broadcast on the CBC's Hockey Night in Canada in English and on RDS en francais.

Down in the USA the first two games will be shown on Versus, the final four are scheduled for NBC ( games that will be broadcast in their entirety we assume, providing they don't have anything else trot up to the television transmitter).
