No need to change the names on the sweaters

When Canada takes to the ice on Boxing Day at this years World Junior Hockey Championships, changing the names on the sweaters may very well be the last of the equipment managers worries.

For the most part, the selection team roster that goes to a mini camp in seven days will be made up of many of the players from the team that defeated the Russians in the recent Junior version of the Super Series.

While Hockey Canada awaits word from NHL teams as to the availability of three who have gone on to the big show, it will be very much a reunion when 37 junior players report for evaluations on December 10th.

Hockey Canada invited 15 WHL players, 13 from the OHL, 7 from the Q and 2 from the US college ranks.

They will show their stuff in hopes of making the final cut and heading for the Czech Republic when they play the host squad Boxing Day to get the tournament underway.
