Game Five-- Los Angeles at Vancouver-- April 22, 2012

Coldplay have left the building and in their place a rising young group out of California moves in, eager to make some noise, steal away a win and take a series, that at least would be the plan of the Los Angeles Kings, who can eliminate the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night.

Perhaps the Canucks (and their fans) found some comfort from the collective song book of the lads, such tunes as "Don't Panic", "Everything's Not Lost", "Sparks" and "Up against the world" providing the momentum to move on against the Kings and to greater Glory.

To that end, Alain Vigneault says it simply, the Canucks know that they have to be better.

The three day break between games could work to the Canucks benefit, providing more rest for Daniel Sedin and helping the team refocus on the job ahead (though we hope they turned off the radios and didn't read the newspapers, as the three days provided for no shortage of chatter and material over goal tending and the future, not really conducive to the moment thing).

Los Angeles, which a few games back probably thought they had the Canucks so off balance that victory was theirs for the taking, gave the Canucks a crack in the door, Sunday night will tell if Vancouver is going to move through it or if the door slams shut.

Game Five-- Los Angeles 2 at Vancouver 1 (OT)

LOS ANGELES WINS the series 4 games to 1
