Game Six-- Phoenix at Chicago -- April 23, 2012

The Phoenix papers are bemoaning the "blown chance" for a celebration in Glendale, the latest overtime loss of Saturday an opportunity lost to celebrate hockey in the desert (for whatever time may be left perhaps) with a Coyote victory and advancement to the second round.

Chicago on the other hand is heralding the latest exploits of Jonathan Toews, his Overtime goal sent the series back to the Madhouse on Madison and the Hawks, who have had their defensive lapses in this series have yet another chance to get it together and move forward in this years playoff season.

With the win, the Hawks perhaps have shifted a bit of that pressure that was theirs and only theirs going into game 5, a little seed of doubt for the Coyotes who are as we know, a little unaccustomed to the pressures of playoff hockey over an extended period of time.

Both teams will have to refocus heading into Monday nights game six, mental errors, untimely turnovers and missed opportunities have dotted the landscape of this series, each and every game has gone to overtime thus far, indicative as to how close that these two teams are when it comes to talent and expectations.

The Coyotes have one advantage over their competition heading into game six, they need just one victory to secure a spot in round two. In a series as tightly played as this one has been, they can afford one more loss if it comes to pass, the Hawks however can't afford any mis-step in Game six, one untimely goal could prove to be the difference between moving on in the playoffs or moving your gear out of the United Centre for the season.
