The Blues hold a 2-1 lead over San Jose and with a two game winning streak under their belt, could push the Sharks to the brink of elimination by the time Thursday night comes to an end.
St. Louis has looked to be in control over the last two games and went to double overtime before surrendering game number one, so the pressure is clearly on the Sharks, a team that is regularly considered to be a top contender and still somehow find ways to lose all that good karma from the start of the season.
This year, struggling as they did to just make the playoffs, expectations haven't been particularly high and in this playoff series, some of the old questions continue to percolate. The Blues who had a pretty fine regular season, have shown some glimpses of that regular season success in this post season.
They can carry on with that theme tonight, while adding on to the pressure of the Sharks who may once again disappoint the faithful of the Shark Tank.
